Why am I not getting any e-mails and others are in Moodle?

It could be that you are not subscribed to the forums that are generating emails or you have not been added to a group. (If the later please contact your course tutor. )

Staff and students can configure how they receive emails from moodle. These settings determine if you receive emails from Moodle on

  • Assignment notifications
  • Essay graded notifications
  • Personal messages between users
  • Feedback reminder
  • Subscribed forum posts  ( some forums require you to actually subscribe or participate before you get emails re recent posts)
  • Feedback notifications

By default the settings are all set to receive unless you have made changes. if you have  then you need to reset your options.

If you are forwarding your UAL emails to a private email address, then emails sent by tutors via Moodle or Moodle emails can be delayed or end up in spam (unless you have configured your private email server to accept these messages).
